Dr. Barry Matthisen, DC, was raised in south Anchorage. He graduated from Service High School and Western Washington University. He obtained his doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic and has been practicing in south Anchorage for over 25 years.
Dr. Matthisen is an Advanced Graduate of the Spine Research Institute of San Diego and has been involved with auto crash research since 2002, from participating in live human crash testing to biomechanics and whiplash traumatology. He has been qualified as an expert in Alaska Courts and remains at the forefront of current research. This advanced training and experience is crucial and has shown to be successful with patients suffering from auto crash and work injuries. He also has been the doctor for the Anchorage Aces hockey club and treats sports injuries in addition to providing general family wellness care.
